Collihort Foundation, Inc. exists to raise awareness of community gardens, keep organizational software free, support localized education, and — later — help gardens that need a fiscal sponsor. This site is for introductions. It is not a donation page and not a sponsorship portal.
Legal status
Collihort Foundation, Inc. is a Florida not-for-profit corporation being organized to raise awareness of community gardens, provide free organizational software, support education (including school visits and field trips), coordinate with existing gardens, and — when the legal work is in place — act as a fiscal sponsor. We are not representing that the IRS has recognized us as a 501(c)(3) public charity. We are not soliciting tax-deductible gifts, and we are not offering fiscal sponsorship, until that work is complete.
David Ashworth
Founder
David Ashworth is founder and board president of Collihort Foundation, Inc. He previously founded Bindaas Social Ventures, a 501(c)(3) that used technology and job-readiness programs to expand opportunity in Kibera, working in the impact-sourcing field alongside organizations such as Samasource. He has implemented Salesforce for nonprofits and spent his career helping organizations adopt shared software they could not build alone. He lives in St. Augustine, Florida, and built Collihort so community gardens can run plots, chores, and books without a software budget.

Programs below are the mission. Only awareness, contact, and the software on collihort.com are live today.
Help neighbors find and talk about community gardens — including the Find a garden map on collihort.com.
Collihort software stays free for community and solo gardens. The Foundation’s job is to keep that tool available, not to sell it.
Digital kits so local gardens can host school visits, field trips, and neighborhood workshops. Packets come later; tell us what you need now.
Work with gardens that already exist. We do not take over their land, members, or books.
Regional and national tradeshows and gatherings when we have a booth and a clear story. No calendar yet.
A future program, not an open application. We will not sponsor gardens or accept directed gifts until the legal work is done.
